Um, America? Barack is not Black.

On August 27, 2008, in Politics, by admin

I hate to break the news to everyone, but calling Barack Obama Black, or African-American is inaccurate. Congratulations on officially getting the nomination, but you are not the first Black presidential candidate. You are the first Blended American to get the gig.

Is a Rum & Coke just a glass of Coke?

Is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich just a jelly sandwich?

Is a hybrid just a gas powered vehicle?

Barack was fathered by a Black man and raised by a White woman. He is half and half, and frankly I’d consider him more white since his black half was merely a sperm donor while his mother stuck around to raise him. I prefer to say that he is simply an American (nod to Tiger Woods). Mariah Carey isn’t black. Neither are Derek Jeter, Jason Kidd, Lenny Kravitz or Halle Berry. But as long as we keep pointing out achievement based upon race we will never truly be a unified country.

Congratulations on your achievement Barack. I still won’t vote for you, but is has absolutely nothing to do wih your skin color. It’s all about your liberal ways.
